“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
One of life’s most challenging experiences is finding “hope” while in the midst of “hopelessness” leaving you physically, spiritually, and emotionally exhausted? I know, I have been there! I am often reminded of the age old children’s story of “The Three Little Pigs” and their nemesis the Wolf. How is your house built? Is it build on the a proper foundation? Are the walls able to withstand the constant strong winds of adversity? Is the the roof able to remain intact from the downpours of stress, hopelessness and despair? Is it a place of residence for the Holy Spirit?
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19
The Greek word for temple here is Naos. It is used of the temple at Jerusalem, but only of the sacred edifice (or sanctuary) itself, consisting of the Holy place and the Holy of Holies. It is for the Christian the very place where our thoughts, intents and emotions arise from. It is our “heart”, our “inner man”, the residing place of the “Holy Spirit.
Learn how to build upon a solid foundation of the Word of God, with Jesus Christ as the cornerstone, building impenetrable walls of trust, selflessness, purity and love and a covering of grace that will never fail. When you learn to “SOAR” you can rise above all that life throws at you gaining new perspectives, new energies, and be all that God has created you to be.
